Coming off a trip to Portugal, April had very little chance of living up to the month before. It was a quiet month, a month in which I felt renewed. I spent much of my time in April tired, but tired for all the right reasons. With Spring comes a sense of new life– flowers blooming, animals out of hibernation, bees floating around the yard. The stillness of winter has been shaken off, and everything begins to pick up pace. I, too, picked up pace this month, becoming aware of all the time that is passing.
Dreaming of living abroad
Waking up before sunrise
Solo travel
Coffee on an empty stomach
Walks while listening to jazz music
Realizing I have free will and can change my life at any moment
Buying used books
Stress-buying clothing for summer
Wearing wired headphones
Green wine
Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion
My April highlight was not a single moment but a collection of early mornings when I pushed myself to do the things that don’t come easily to me.
Preparing myself for my favorite time of year to live in Pennsylvania.
That’s all for now, friends! With spring in full bloom, I’m wishing you new beginnings and a fresh start. Happy May!
All my love,
xx B
Adore this and Omg haha one of my recent hyperfixation was also daydreaming of living abroad 🫶🏻
